"The Management of Telkom Group would like to give our warmest welcome to Wishnutama as the President Commissioner of Telkomsel," said Reza in a statement on Thursday, February 11.

"It is a good thing for Telkom Group, especially Telkomsel, considering that he is a person who understands digital technology with extensive experience in the digital industry," added Reza.

Wishnutama will effectively assume President Commissioner's position starting on February 11, replacing Ririek Adriansyah.

Reza hoped that Wishnutama could develop a strategy for the company which will be beneficial for the nation.

Previously, rumors of Wishnutama's appointment as President Director of Telkomsel had been circulating since last week.
