JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – State-Owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir has appointed an intelligence official, Commissioner General Police Bambang Sunarwibowo, as commissioner at Indonesia’s diversified miner PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTMta.JK) at its annual general shareholders meeting yesterday.
Comr. Gen. Bambang takes the seat vacated by Zaelani, one of the former commissioner board members of the mining company. Bambang is the fifth army or police general the state-owned enterprises minister has appointed to a civilian post at a state-owned company in six months.
“Antam’s Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors would like to thank Mr. Zaelani for his dedication and support to Antam while serving as Antam’s commissioner,” PT Antam said in a statement yesterday.

Comr. Gen. Bambang has served in the Main Secretariat of the Indonesian State Intelligence Agency (BIN) since 3 March. In 2018, the intelligence official assisted the National Police Chief as Expert Staff for Social and Economy. A 1988 graduate of the police academy, he is renowned in the intelligence community. He has served as the Deputy IV of the intelligence agency.

Meanwhile at the shareholders meeting, Indonesian miner PT Antam distributed dividends of 67.8 billion rupiahs ($4.7 million), or 35 percent of the profit for the year attributable to owners of the parent entity for the 2019 financial year.
The shareholders agreed that 126 billion rupiahs or 65 percent be held as retained earnings.
