An appetizing recharge
After a wet and wild day down the river, it is only natural for one to recharge their energies with a nourishing meal.
And what better way to do so than with the local specialties, not least Nasi Timbel or baked rice cooked in banana leaf.
For IDR 25,000 [1.74], one can savor this dish, which is eaten with salted snapper or snakehead fish, tofu or tempeh, as well as fresh vegetables sambal chili sauce and vegetable tamarind soup.

“Visitors can eat in the main gazebos near the park, as well as others in the Aren Valley and near the river tubing area. If the gazebos are full, one can lay out a mat that was brought beforehand or rented for IDR 10,000 per two hours," said Dedi.
Karaoke sessions are also available for IDR 20,000 per hour.
Hamming it for the camera
Dedi added that Homestay Sindangkasih Tourism Village's unpolluted, beautiful natural surroundings is ideal for taking pictures.
“While most of these spots are free, some more intimate spots, such as Sasak Panyawangan, one has to pay IDR 1,000 per person for maintenance,” said Dedi.
Like other tourist spots nowadays, Homestay Sindangkasih Tourism Village has implemented health protocols such as body temperature checks, washing hands, wearing masks, and social distancing. Nonetheless, these should not detract from some in the great outdoors.
