KOMPAS.com – Private information of nearly 280 million Indonesian citizens was allegedly being put up for sale on a hacking forum Raid Forums.

Indonesia’s Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has proposed an economic growth rate of 5.2 to 5.8 percent in the 2022 draft state budget (RAPBN).

Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo reiterated that the Covid-19 pandemic still exists, calling for the regional leaders to work closely in the fight against the spread of coronavirus.

Private information of 279 million Indonesian citizens was allegedly being put up for sale on a hacking forum Raid Forums.

The public can easily access the site as it is not categorized as a deep web. Hundreds of data are being sold by its member known as Kotz.

Kotz said the data includes citizenship identification numbers, mobile phone numbers, e-mail addresses, physical addresses, and salary. It also reveals the private information of citizens who have died. Photos of about 20 million citizens can also be found. The seller also includes three links to the data which can be downloaded for free.

However, on the hacker website, the seller did not include the price. Social media users also discussed the release of the citizenship data such as the @Br_AM Twitter handle who revealed that the private data is being sold for 0.15 bitcoins or about 84.4 million rupiahs ($5,800).
