Indonesia’s Military Chief: We Continue Our Search to Bring Our Submarine’s Crews Back Home
Indonesia’s Military (TNI) commander Air Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto said that efforts to search for a missing Indonesian Navy Submarine KRI Nanggala-402 will be continued.
“The Indonesian military will continue to conduct its search and rescue to bring home our brothers, the sailors of KRI Nanggala 402 to their families,” Hadi told a press conference broadcast on Kompas TV Thursday, April 22.
Hadi called on all parties to pray that the 53 people on board the missing submarine will be found. "Let's pray together, hopefully, our family, our friends, the sailors of KRI Nanggala-402 are safe and will be found soon," said Hadi.
Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto said several countries have offered their assistance to search for the missing submarine.
"This is a humanitarian issue, we hope for the best results," Prabowo said.
