Bali Named Among World's 15 Best Islands for Retirement on Travel Awaits' 2021

KOMPAS.com - The Indonesian resort island of Bali has been ranked ninth among 15 best islands in the world for retirement in 2021, according to TravelAwaits, a travel website to cater for travelers in their 50s.   

The islands were selected based on several criteria, including their potential as locations for simpler and more peaceful life without having to spend much money.

Bali is the only island from Indonesia on the list deemed suitable for the best destination to retire. The website mentioned that Bali offers beautiful natural wealth and affordable living costs. Also, there are communities that are well-known among expats in Ubud and Seminyak.

"You can spend time exploring, taking hot baths and enjoying a range of health treatments, or traveling on a motorbike to the beach," the TravelAwaits wrote recently.

Three other islands in ASEAN was Penang in Malaysia, Koh Samui in Thailand, and Phu Quoc in Vietnam.  Penang was recognized for its strategic location, various local dishes and many outdoor activities, while Koh Samui has beautiful view and is also home to upscale resorts, spas, golf courses, temples.
