The US fast-food chain officially made its debut on December 18 and foodies in search of where to eat in Jakarta for Mexican food can now rest easy.

Kompas.com had the opportunity to try out some of the signature items from the US restaurant that is found in nearly 30 countries with Indonesia as its latest venture.

Known to have popularized Mexican food to the world, you can find burritos, nachos, quesadillas, and tacos at this Mexican food restaurant in Jakarta.
To ensure its success in Indonesia’s food and beverage industry in 2020, the company has adjusted the flavors and tastes to the Indonesian palate.
“We have undertaken a long journey since 2018 to get Taco Bell to Indonesia,” said GM of Marketing for Fast Food Indonesia Hendra Yuniarto.

Our team tried the Taco Supreme, Bell Rice, and Loaded Nachos at this up-and-coming Mexican food restaurant in Jakarta.

Generously loaded with seasoned ground beef, tomato salsa, onion, sour cream, and cheddar cheese, the Taco Supreme is a packed dish full of deliciousness.

For that, Kompas.com tried the Rice Bell which has specifically been adjusted to the preference of the Indonesian market.
“The rice for the Rice Bell is like a risotto because when we surveyed the market, people’s main criticism was that the rice was uncooked.”
The seasoned rice is complemented with ground beef, a tomato salsa, and fresh onion and salad which makes it another winning dish at this new Mexican food restaurant in Jakarta.
The best way to enjoy the Rice Bell is to mix all the ingredients together, and for the spicy foodies out there, you can ask for the restaurant’s Hot and Fire sauce.
