KOMPAS.com – There are five crucial travel tips that travelers from Indonesia may want to remember before embarking on their year-end holiday activities.
With the coronavirus epidemic situation worsening across the archipelago, Dr. R. A. Adaninggar, Sp.PD or called Ning, it is important to avoid touching objects.
“Avoid touching objects. Travelers tend to fall ill during their holiday because they came in contact with a contaminated object or item.”

Other travel tips during the coronavirus pandemic for travelers from Indonesia are listed below.
Choose an outdoor location
One of the essential Covid-19 protocols is social distancing, thus Ning suggests choosing an outdoor location for your year-end holiday destination.
Travel blogger Kadek Arini concurred, adding that an outdoor space makes it easier for people to keep their distance from others.

“Every location has its own risk, but it is up to the individual to take precautionary measures. One location is Labuan Bajo where it is an island thus travelers will find themselves in an outdoor setting,” said Kadek.
Kadek also shared that when visiting Labuan Bajo, tourists can opt to go island hopping in order to avoid the crowds.
Avoid dining in
Ning explained that dining in at a restaurant during the coronavirus pandemic is highly risky especially if the eatery is in an enclosed space.
“Dining in at an enclosed restaurant should be restricted as the risk of virus transmission is higher,” said Ning.
