December 2, 2020, 06.27 PM

LONDON, KOMPAS.com – Searching for Indonesian coffee in Germany became a lot easier with the opening of My Bali Coffee shop at the Altstadt old city of Nürnberg.

A staff at the Indonesian Consulate General in Frankfurt, Acep Somantri, described Nürnberg as the prime tourist destination for international and German travelers.

The idea behind establishing My Bali Coffee Shop first came in 2016 by the current owner Sascha Bayu Handoyo.

Sascha is Indonesian-German by blood and now, he has made use of his family’s business network to cater to people looking for coffee from Indonesia in Germany.

My Bali Coffee shop offers a good selection of premium quality coffee variants including Balistar, Luwak, Lintong, Robusta, Mandheling, and Tiger.

Furthermore, visitors can indulge in a cup of espresso, café crema, or café vino which uses the coffee from Indonesia as part of its ingredients.

For visitors who have had a chance to visit the Southeast Asian country and miss being there, then they can also purchase one of the accessories and handmade souvenirs of Bali rotan which are sold at My Bali Coffee.

To give a quintessentially Indonesian experience in Germany, the coffee shop’s opening was complete with a Balinese dance performance.
