“We have a tractor that can be used in floating places and in swamps,” said Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo on June 25.
Syahrul mentioned that the ministry has also used satellite images to determine requirements for land.
“With the intervention of modernization and technology from our research, we can measure the quality and quantity we would like to achieve. This is ongoing and we are starting to adjust to it,” said Syahrul.

Thanks to technology, Indonesia’s Agriculture Minister is able to keep abreast with the latest happenings regarding soil conditions in Indonesia.
The Minister stated that he is able to know what is being done to Indonesia’s soil and how much fertilizer is needed.
Coordination is another integral factor since agricultural activities are mostly field-based.
As such, good coordination and cooperation are important to synergize different parties.
According to Syahrul, all parties must work cohesively be it the central government, ministries, as well as governors and regents.
