Nadia and Elizabeth also cited a Public Health England study that said the AstraZeneca vaccine is 66 percent effective against the B.1.1.7 Covid-19 strain from Great Britain, and 33 percent effective in mitigating the symptoms of the Indian coronavirus strain after three weeks.

The European Medical Association has warned of a number of symptoms following the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine, such as shortness of breath, swollen feet, and stomach pains.

They also warned of blood clots, especially for recipients with low blood pressure, and advised against the vaccine’s use on people under the age of 30. Indonesia uses the AstraZeneca vaccine, as well as Sinovac in its free vaccination drive.

Indonesia has vaccinated 14,890,933 people in the first stage of the country’s vaccination drive, and 9,871,644 on the second stage of vaccinations.
