Vaccinate All Health Care Workers by End of February, Says Indonesian Minister
Indonesia’s Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin has set a target of vaccinating all health care workers in the country by the end of this month.
Budi said as of today, 900,000 health care workers out of 1.5 million health workers have received the Covid-19 vaccination.
"We still have time until the end of this month to complete everything," Budi said in a press conference on Sunday, February 7.
Budi is optimistic that the target can be achieved following the fast process of the jab drive for the health care workers in the past month.
He also said that health care workers aged 60 and above will receive the Covid-19 vaccination on Monday, February 8.
The Health Ministry has recorded that 11,600 health care workers in the country are included in the elderly group.
