Indonesia Issues Instruction on Small-Scale Community Activity Restrictions in Villages, Sub-Districts
Indonesia’s Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian has issued Instruction No. 3/2021 on the implementation of the micro-scale of enforcement of public activity restrictions (PPKM) related to the control of Covid-19 in village and sub-districts.
“The Instruction of Home Affairs Minister No. 3/2021 has been issued on late Saturday,” the ministry’s official Safrizal said in a televised statement on Sunday, February 7.
The micro-scale PPKM will be carried out from 9-22 February. The policy continues the previous restrictions implemented by the previous regulation, which was done twice from January 12-February 8.
All sub-districts and villagers are required to apply restrictions set by the government. This includes the closing of shopping centers at 21.00 pm.
In the previous PPKM measures, malls were only allowed to operate until 20.00 pm and allow only 50 percent capacity for offices.
Meanwhile, the capacity to dine-in is limited to a maximum of 50 percent capacity until 21.00 pm.
