JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Should your year-end holiday activities in Jakarta include visiting the Ancol area, make a note that the North Jakarta destination will be closed for Christmas and New Year’s holiday break.
CEO of Taman Impian Jaya Ancol Teuku Sahir Syahali said that only the Putri Duyung Resort will remain open during the holiday break.
The company will not be hosting any activities due to nationwide restrictions to curb the transmission of the Covid-19 virus.
“Putri Duyung Resort will operate as normal with prior bookings through our official website.”

Travelers whose plan includes island hopping to the Thousand Archipelago will still be able to do so as the access to Ancol’s Marina harbor will be open.
The closure of the Ancol area means that popular year-end holiday destinations in Jakarta such as Dunia Fantasi, Sea World Ancol, Ocean Dream Samudra, Pasar Seni, and Allianz Ecopark in addition to the restaurants and other attractions in the vicinity will be closed.
Those holiday destinations in Jakarta will close during Christmas and New Year’s Eve, namely on December 25 and 31, and January 1, 2021.
The decision to close down the tourist attraction zone is to align the company’s measures to that of Governor Instructions Number 64 Year 2020 as well as Governor Decree Number 17 Year 2020.
