Bali Bans New Year’s Celebrations

The Bali administration has decided to ban New Year’s celebrations in both indoor and outdoor venues.

The announcement was stated in Circular No. 2021/2020 on the Implementation of Community Activities in Bali during Christmas and New Year’s Celebrations in the New Normal Era.

“Both indoor and outdoor events in conjunction with the New Year’s celebrations are prohibited,” the Circular stated on Tuesday, December 15.

The use of firecrackers, fireworks, and the like, as well as consuming alcoholic beverages are prohibited, the Circular stated.
