KOMPAS.com – Five top halal all-you-can-eat restaurants have dominated the Jakarta city food scene.
At the restaurants on our list, diners will find all sorts of meat and ingredients ranging from beef, chicken, seafood, rice, noodles, fresh vegetables, and even desserts.
In the Indonesian capital city, the popular all-you-can-eat restaurants generally incorporate Japanese or South Korean style elements in their interior design thus enhancing your dining experience.
However, it is also the reason that even some of the best all-you-can-eat restaurants in Jakarta sell non-halal items such as sake, mirin, or the sauces used in its ingredients.

The all-you-can-eat restaurants on Kompas.com’s list have been certified by the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and are mostly based in the Indonesian capital city.
1. Kintan Buffet
Kintan Buffet is on our list of halal buffet restaurants in Jakarta city that have received the MUI stamp of approval since May 2019, meaning that all the food and beverages served at this popular restaurant are safe for Muslim consumers.
The restaurant is part of a Japanese-owned company operated by Boga Group in Indonesia.
You can visit one of its many branches across nine Indonesian cities of Jakarta, Bandung, Tangerang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Bali, Medan, Batam, and Makassar.
2. Shaburi
The Jakarta city food scene is the epicenter for the halal all-you-can-eat restaurants, including the well-known Shaburi restaurant chain.

The popular buffet restaurant also earned its certification from MUI in May 2019 so you can rest assured that everything you will consume at this location is halal.
Shaburi can be found in major cities across the archipelago including Jakarta, Bandung, Tangerang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Bali, Medan, Batam, and Makassar.
3. Shabu Hachi
Shabu Hachi was established in 2015 and has made it onto the list of halal buffet restaurants in Jakarta city since its certification in August 2018.
The restaurant offers wide-ranging fresh meat to feast on and various broth types that have propelled its standing.
The price you pay is inclusive of seafood, vegetables, side dishes, and desserts although you can add buffet-style Yakiniku for an additional $3.42 (Rp 50,000).

Shabu Hachi restaurants can be found in Jakarta, Bogor, and Bandung.
4. Hachi Grill
Hachi Grill is the sister company of Shabu Hachi which serves Japanese-style Yakiniku that is MUI-approved since April 2019.
Emerging as one of the newer halal buffet restaurants in Jakarta city, the restaurant has quickly found a loyal customer base in its branch locations including Bandung and Tangerang.
At Hachi Grill, get ready to be satisfied with tantalizing desserts, seasoned meat, and side dishes although, for an extra $1.37 (Rp 20,000), you can also enjoy some Shabu-Shabu.
5. Shabu Kojo
Even though Shabu Kojo is not exactly a Jakarta city food restaurant, it is one of only a handful of halal buffet restaurants in Indonesia.

The MUI has certified the Bandung-based restaurant so you can rest assured that the food and beverages you consume are in keeping with Islamic standards.
Shabu Kojo is situated at Jalan Progo, a strategic location for Jakarta travelers who regularly flock to Bandung, Indonesia.
