If an advanced country discovers a Covid-19 vaccine by February 2021, then it will make use of it internally first.
“Whoever finds the vaccine next year, everyone will only be able to be vaccinated by 2022. So I’m sorry to say that for the next two years, we will have to wear masks. Thus, we need synergy, experience, information, and systems,” said Jusuf Kalla.
Indonesia’s Covid-19 Updates
Indonesia’s latest tally puts the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases at 64,958 as of July 6. The past 24 hours saw the country add another 1,209 new Covid-19 cases.
Around 12,756 specimen tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.
East Java recorded the most number of new cases with an additional 308 Covid-19 patients. Jakarta came in second with 232 new Covid-19 cases.
The number of Covid-19 patients that have recovered in the past day is 814 people.
