JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Jakarta Provincial Government has decided to extend its new normal transition period for another two weeks to July 16.
The move was announced by Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan on July 1. The extension of the transitionary period will run from July 3 to July 16.
“Based on a meeting with the Covid-19 Task Force, it was concluded that the new normal transition period is to be extended for an additional 14 days. This means all activities are still running under 50 percent capacity,” said Anies Baswedan.

Prior to its PSBB implementation, the local government cautioned businesses in the capital to begin practicing work from home schemes and home-based learning for students and teachers.
Jakarta’s PSBB has been twice extended with the latest extension on June 4.
The PSBB extension between June 4 until July 2 is otherwise regarded as Jakarta’s new normal transition period.
