JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Muhadjir Effendy shared a motivational tip to dream big if one seeks to be successful.

The Minister offered his advice to members of the Indonesia Islamic Students group during an event on studying overseas.

Speaking via teleconference on June 27, Muhadjir Effendy encouraged the students to not fear to dream big. As such, he also pushed the students to chase after their aspirations.

“Only people with big dreams go on to become successful people. There are no successful people with small dreams,” said Muhadjir.

The Human Development Minister believes that everyone has equal opportunities.

“If we have big aspirations then don’t give up. Chase after it until it’s realized, and there are no differences in intelligence or chances. Everyone has the same chance if they create an opportunity,” said the Minister.

The event was also the opportunity for Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs to share insights on information gathering about studying overseas.

He suggested that students decide who will fund their tuition be it a sponsor or scholarship. Aside from university scholarships, there are other institutions that offer scholarships.
