BULELENG, KOMPAS.com – A Polish national has been deported on Monday, June 20, after serving his sentence at the Class II-B Karangasem and Singaraja Penitentiary in Indonesia’s resort island of Bali.
Gawel was sentenced to three years in prison for committing ATM card skimming fraud in the Candidasa area in the Karangasem regency.
The authorities then deported Gawel after his immigration documents were complete.

“Once all the administrative requirements have been completed, he will be deported from Indonesia via Bali Airport,” said Head of the Singaraja Immigration Office Nanang Mustofa.
Gawel flew Malaysia Airlines flight MH714 to Berlin, Germany and he would continue the journey by bus to Poland.

“He is an ex-convict who had violated Article 33 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 19/2016 on the Electronic Information and Transaction (ITE) Law,” said Nanang.
He served three years in prison. “Apart from deportation, he is banned from entering Indonesia in six months.”
