JAYAPURA, KOMPAS.com - The Regional Intelligence Agency head in Papua, Brigadier General I Gusti Putu Danny Karya Nugraha, was shot dead by an armed criminal group (KKB) in Beoga district, Papua on Sunday, April 25.
This incident was confirmed by the commander of the XVII/Cendrawasih Military Command Major General Ignatius Yogo Triyono.
"Yes, it is true that he has died," said Ignatius on Sunday.
However, he added, the body has yet been evacuated.

"The body is still in Beoga and we are still monitoring it, we plan to evacuate the body tomorrow [Monday]," he said.
The commander said that he had not received further details regarding the chronology of the incident. The communication network is still very limited, making it difficult to get access to the information in Beoga.

"The incident occured around 3:30 pm, we do not know the exact incident because the communication is still unclear, I haven't received further information. We are still investigating the matter," said Ignatius.
Since January, the armed criminal groups are constantly spreading terror and disturbing the lives of the people in Papua. The brutal acts were continuously carried out in the area, killing not only the security forces but also residents.
