KOMPAS.com – As the number of Covid-19 cases continues to increase, the Indonesian government is planning to evaluate the usual collective leave days this year.
Coordinating Human Development and Culture Minister Muhadjir Effendy and other relevant ministers will hold a meeting to discuss the matter next week.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria called on the members of the public to remain patient while waiting for their turn to receive the Covid-19 vaccine. Riza said that 89.2 percent or over 100,000 health care workers in Jakarta have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Indonesia to Evaluate Collective Leave Days due to Covid-19
Indonesia’s Coordinating Human Development and Culture Minister Muhadjir Effendy said that to contain the spread of Covid-19 the government will evaluate the collective leave days this year.
"Insya Allah [God willing], we will evaluate it next week. There may be a reduced leave schedule," he said on the sidelines of a blood drive in Surabaya on Tuesday, February 16.
The minister, however, has yet explained how many collective leave days will be removed because it will be discussed with the relevant ministries.
The initiative aims to stem the spread of the Covid-19 as the increasing number of confirmed cases will usually increase after the holidays.
As of Monday, February 15, the National Covid-19 Task Force recorded that the number of confirmed cases in Indonesia reached more than 1.2 million cases.
