Indonesia's UGM Ranked among Top Universities in the World

The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, a ranking system for the world's universities, has recently released its list of the 2021 world's best universities, including in Indonesia.

Yogyakarta-based Gadjah Mada University (UGM) is ranked 810th out of 30,000 universities in the world and has once again been ranked first place among all universities in the country.

"Hopefully UGM will become a reference university and contribute more to the nation and the world," said UGM's rector Panut Mulyono as quoted by the university's official website on Thursday, January 28.

Compared to last year, UGM has moved up from 1,484th to 810th position in the World Ranking. This achievement was based on three indicators, namely impact or visibility, openness or transparency, and excellence.
