JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Indonesia’s President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo addressed the impact of Covid-19 on the food crisis, urging his cabinet ministers and the people to be more vigilant to its potential threat.
“During the Covid-19 pandemic, the agricultural sector plays an increasingly significant role. The World Food Organization (FAO) warns of a potential food crisis. Be careful about this,” said Jokowi in a televised address during the opening of the 2021 National Working Meeting of Agricultural Development on Monday, January 11.
“Be careful with the handling of restrictions on citizen mobility and distribution of goods between countries,” he added.
