With the Christmas and New Year break coming up next week, the Bali entry restrictions have been updated to meet the demands of the central government and avoid a surge in virus transmission.
Travel restrictions in Bali will run from December 19, 2020 – January 4, 2021, as stipulated in the Bali Governor Decree Number 2021 Year 2020.
Before you finalize your year-end holiday travel plans to this popular Indonesian tourism destination, you will need to fulfill several criteria.
1. Swab test proof for air travel
As part of the enhanced Bali entry restrictions, travelers heading to the Island of Gods via air transportation or airplanes will have to provide evidence of a negative PCR swab test result.
The test may not be older than seven days prior to the departure date.
2. Rapid antigen test for land and sea travels
The entry restrictions in Bali for the Christmas and New Year holiday also affect travelers who plan on coming in via land or sea transportation and present a negative rapid antigen test result that is no older than seven days before the departure date.
