JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Jakarta Provincial Government is reporting that the surge of daily infections is pushing the daily occupancy of Covid-19 isolation beds in the city to a near maximum.
As reported on the provincial government’s Twitter account (@dkijakarta), as of December 13, nearly 80 percent of coronavirus isolation beds in Jakarta have been filled.
There are 98 government referral hospitals and together there are 6,509 beds for self-isolation patients in which 5,185 of them have been filled.
The situation is also looking bleak for the occupancy rate of ICU hospital beds in Jakarta where 655 out of 893 beds have been filled or totaling 73 percent.
