Which Indonesian Airlines Offer the Cheapest Flights to Bali from Jakarta?

KOMPAS.com – A new year will soon approach, and Indonesian airlines have started competing in offering the cheapest flights to Bali from Jakarta.

Booking airfare tickets from the capital city to Bali have become expensive triggering criticism from Bali Governor, I Wayan Koster.

The Bali Governor has especially aimed his critique towards national air carriers. Kompas.com has decided to investigate the claims and assess prices of flights to Bali from Jakarta offered by six Indonesian airlines including Garuda Indonesia.

The prices presented are for airfare tickets from Jakarta to Bali for a direct flight on November 21 for one adult.

Here is what Kompas.com found:

1. Garuda Indonesia

The cheapest flights to Bali from Jakarta from the country’s national air carrier is a one-way, Economy class direct flight ticket price of Rp $108 (Rp 1,579,100) inclusive of tax and additional fees.

Business-class tickets charge for $430 (Rp 6,292,600) including tax and supplementary fees.

We tried to find a price for First Class tickets from Jakarta to Bali, but we were given the following notification:

“Invalid request. We apologize for the inconvenience. We are experiencing difficulties processing your request. We are unable to offer suggestions for your search. Please change your criteria and change again.”

Round-trip flights

Our investigation for flights departing Jakarta on November 21 and arriving in Bali on November 22 costs Rp $216 (Rp 3,158,200) inclusive of tax and additional fees.

Using the same inputted data, but for Business Class, travelers will have to pay an all-inclusive price of $1,058 (Rp 15,482,600).

Kompas.com received the same notification message for a round trip, First Class airfare price.

2. Citilink

The cheapest flights to Bali from Jakarta using Citilink for an Economy Class ticket without Flight-Plus benefits range from $51 (Rp 739,800), $73 (Rp 1,075,300), and $83 (Rp 1,208,400).
