Saudi Arabian Airlines to Resume Flights to Jakarta

KOMPAS.com – Saudi Arabian Airlines will resume its flights to Jakarta from September 30 after the Kingdom has partially lifted its suspension on international flights amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the company stated.

The flights to Jakarta from Jeddah has been suspended since April this year following the lockdown measures imposed by Saudi Arabia’s government and the coronavirus-related travel restrictions across the globe to contain the spread of Covid-19.

The flights are provided only to transport Saudi Arabian citizens and foreign nationals who hold valid residency permits (Iqama), entry, exit, and visit visas.

Flights for transporting passengers on umrah and personal visit visas are scheduled to begin in early 2021.

The statement received by Kompas.com recently said the Jakarta-Jeddah route will operate three times a week.

Here are the flight schedules for Saudi Arabian airlines on Jakarta and Jeddah routes:

Jeddah (JED) to Jakarta (CGK) SV816 departure 5pm arrival 9am
Three times a week: Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday.

Jakarta (CGK) to Jeddah (JED) SV817 departure 11am arrival 4:15pm
Three times a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday

The statement said that flight procedures will strictly comply with the Covid-19 health protocols and physical distancing measures.

The protocols will strictly be implemented while passengers are at the airport and upon entering the aircraft.

The airlines require all passengers to bring a certificate of a negative or non-reactive polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test results from any hospital. The PCR test results must be valid for at least 48 hours before arriving in Saudi Arabia.
