JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Indonesia’s film community is set to receive a Rp 2 billion investment from the country’s Ministry of Manpower.
Minister of the Ministry of Manpower Ida Fauziyah said the ministry will allocate Rp 2 billion to build two job training centers for Indonesia’s film community.
Each training center will cost Rp 1 billion, Ida said during an event on July 7.

The budget allocation will be used for the construction, provision of equipment, training programs, and the payments for teaching staff.
The location of both job training enters will be decided by the film association as it is in charge of providing the land.
“We offered Indonesia’s film community to provide the land for the project. If they can provide the land then we will construct the building,” Ida said, adding that the project is meant to address the demand for competent human capital in the creative industry.

Through education and training in film, the minister is certain that the skills of Indonesia’s film talents can improve.
By improving competency skills, Indonesia’s film industry will be better equipped to compete in other markets.
