The agriculture ministry’s Animal Husbandry Directorate said the animal flu which infected pigs in Indonesia was African swine flu, which is non-transmissible to humans.
The China Center for Disease Control (CDC) found the G4 EA H1N1 earlier this year. They have yet to find evidence of human-to-human transmission of the disease, though they have found evidence of its transmission from animals to humans.
The China CDC said G4 is one of 179 strains of swine flu in the country that affected an estimated 4.4 percent of the country’s population.
