Look, Indonesia’s State Intelligence Agency Joins Social Media Fray

It is hoped that the public will upload more positive content in line with the sacred values of Pancasila.

The agency also invites people to help counter hoaxes and content that insinuate hate and radicalism.

The Indonesian public has also been cautioned to protect the privacy of their accounts by using social media wisely and in a calculated manner.

In doing so, the public can avoid social media dependency which puts them at a higher risk of mental health problems.

The agency acknowledges that social media has become a part of human life.

The speed, practicality, and convenience have become a magnetic pole to further attract people to using social media.

The intelligence body understands that social media has become a space for people to interact and to share information to a wider audience.
