KAYUAGUNG, KOMPAS.com – An ex-convict on parole attacked South Sumatera’s Departmental Police of the Republic of Indonesia (Polres) Ogan Komering Ilir on June 28 and soon died of blood loss from gunshot wounds.
Thirty-five-year-old Indra Oktomi attached the police station at 2:30am.
The suspect attacked and injured Police Officer Aipda M Nur, wounding his hand.

The suspect passed away as he was transported to the Kayuagung General Hospital.
Line of events
Before carrying out the attack on the police officer, Indra ran over the fence of the police station with his Honda Mobilio car.
He then proceeded to leave his vehicle to attack Officer Aipda using a sharp weapon commonly used to inspect rice.
Officer Aipda sustained stab wounds in an attempt to blockade the suspect.

Police officers on duty gave a warning to the suspect which was ignored.
“When he came in, he started shouting 'where’s the police!' This is something we’re looking into or whether it’s connected to the suspect’s previous case,” said Head of Public Relations for South Sumatera’s Regional Police Supriadi.
Officers proceeded to shoot Indra in the legs.
Superintendent of Polres Ogan Komering Ilir Alamsyah Pelupessy confirmed that the incident took place at 2:30am.
The suspect’s motive is under investigation. Based on information from Alamsyah, they have yet to identify any connections to terrorist groups, but he reaffirmed that the case is still being investigated.
