JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Indonesia’s President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo called on the people to get booster shots as the supply of the Covid-19 vaccine is adequate in the country.
“The government has more than enough supply of Covid-19 vaccine for booster shots,” President Jokowi said in a televised message on Monday, May 30.
Jokowi reminded the people to remain vigilant, although the coronavirus pandemic has slowed down. He underscored the importance of getting booster shots.

The Ministry of Health data showed that the booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine could increase antibody protection up to two-fold compared with the initial two-dose series.
“Booster vaccination is also needed to protect the elderly and vulnerable groups or those with comorbidities from contracting Covid-19,” said Jokowi.
He called on the people to get a free booster shot without being choosy. He said all vaccines protect the community from the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Let’s keep on what we are doing together so that Indonesia will recover and the economy will improve,” the president said.

It is reported that the number of Covid-19 cases has continued to decline.
