JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – After a yearlong hiatus, concertgoers flocked to the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta to enjoy live music on the first day of the 2022 Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival.
The annual Jazz festival will run from May 27-29. Last year, no live festivals were taken place in Indonesia due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year, however, the government has eased several Covid-19 restrictions as the number of Covid-19 continues to decline.
A festivalgoer, who is known by Ravi, said that he was enthusiastic about the return of the event.

Ten stages have been ready to be used by the artists. The event started at 4.45 p.m. local time by presenting Adoria MLD Jazz Project, according to the organizer’s official website. Other musicians who will also perform are Bass G Featuring Matthew Sayerzs, Magic Contest, and Fiersa Besari.
At the Blibli hall stage, festivalgoers will see the performances of musicians Sri Hanugara, Saleka, and Keyon Harrold. Meanwhile, Indonesian musicians such as Erwin Gutawa, Ruth Sahanaya, Lea Simanjuntak, Andmesh Kamaleng, and Vina Panduwinata will perform at the BNI Hall stage. JOJO will also be performing.
