KOMPAS.com – The free practice 2 (FP2) session of the 2022 Indonesian Grand Prix was completed on Friday, March 18. MotoGP world champion Fabio Quartararo closed the FP2 fastest of all with a time of one minute 31.608 seconds despite a technical issue.
The bike troubles forced him to return to the Yamaha garage after only seven minutes of entering into the session. He suddenly experienced an engine failure while passing one of the corners at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit. The marshals helped Quartararo to push the Yamaha YZR-M1 toward the pit lane.
