KOMPAS.com – Fully vaccinated domestic travelers do not need to present proof of negative Covid-19 tests when traveling by land, sea, and air across Indonesia, a senior cabinet minister said on Monday, March 7.
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan told a press conference that the decision was taken as the Covid-19 situation improves in the country.
“The trend of daily cases nationwide has decreased significantly, the number of Covid-19 hospitalizations and death rates have also declined,” Luhut told a virtual press conference on Monday, March 7.
Covid-19 cases show a decreasing trend
Luhut further added that the number of daily cases shows a decreasing trend in all provinces of Java and Bali. The hospitalization rate in Java and Bali has also decreased except in Yogyakarta.

He predicted that the situation will be improved in the next few days. In addition, the number of deaths in Jakarta, Bali, and Banten has also decreased.
“Soon, other provinces could experience similar improvements,” he said.
