JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – President Joko "Jokowi” Widodo said that Indonesia has administered 200 million Covid-19 vaccine doses since the country’s mass vaccination program began in January this year.
“The number of the people who are fully vaccinated has achieved about 40 percent of the national inoculation target and 60 percent of the population had at least one dose of the vaccine,” said Jokowi in his Instagram account @jokowi on Monday, November 8.
This achievement, the President said, has made Indonesia one of the five countries with the highest rates of Covid-19 vaccinations besides India, the US, Brazil, and Japan. “This contributes to vaccinating almost half of the world’s population,” he wrote.

Jokowi expressed his appreciation to the people who have participated in the vaccination program as it supports the effort to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
“May you be healthy and follow the health protocols,” he said.
As of Sunday, November 7 at 6:00 pm local time, the number of people who are fully vaccinated reached 78,994,163, or 37.93 percent of the total vaccination target. Meanwhile, the number of people who received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine stood at 125,105,963 people, or 60.07 percent of the vaccination target.
Indonesia has set a target of vaccinating 208,265,720 people comprising health care workers, the elderly, public officials, vulnerable groups, and the general public including younger generations aged 12-17 years.
