Luhut said the government urged the public to remain vigilant and strictly adhere to the health protocols to stem the coronavirus transmission.

Entry restrictions for international travelers

As the partial lockdown has been extended, the government will remain to limit the entry of foreign travelers to Indonesia.

The government tightens the implementation of self-isolation for foreign nationals and Indonesians upon their arrival in the country.

The entry ports for air travelers are in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten province, and in Sam Ratulangi Airport in Manado, North Sulawesi. While sea ports are only in Batam and Tanjung Pinang on Sumatra island. Those who travel by land can enter the country from the Indonesian cities in Kalimantan such as Aruk, Entikong, Nunukan, and Motaain in East Nusa Tenggara.

The implementation of quarantine will strictly be taken place for eight days along with the Covid-19 PCR test three times.

Luhut said the government will tighten the implementation of quarantine and increase the testing capacity at the entry ports on land. "The Indonesian military (TNI) and the police will increase surveillance on mouse trails,” he said.

He urged the public to remain vigilant to avoid the increasing number of Covid-19 cases. “We should not be complacent with what we have achieved today,” he said, adding that negligence will only extend the partial lockdowns.
