“Everyone should get their vaccinations, as they are needed to gain herd immunity to overcome the pandemic.”
Aside from the enforcement of PPKM and health protocols, the government also carried out 3T (Testing, Tracing, and Treatment), isolation, vaccination, and providing medication to break the chain of transmission or hasten the recovery of people who already tested positive for Covid-19.

Pandemic Control, Flattening the Curve Matter: Indonesian Health Minister
Indonesian Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin said controlling the transmission of Covid-19 is more vital, instead of eliminating the virus altogether.
"The main goal of handling the pandemic is not to eliminate the virus. The virus can still exist for 10 years, 100 years, but what is important for us is to control the pandemic and flatten the curve [for Covid-19] that is still controllable by health services," said Budi on Tuesday, June 22.
"The important thing is that the [number of] persons sick [from Covid-19] should never be higher than the capacity of hospitals," he added.
In addition, the fatality rate from the coronavirus is no higher HIV or TB. Budi pointed out that deaths from latter diseases are still higher, though he did not elaborate.
"Our enemy is the transmission [of the virus]. If there is a lot of transmissions, people don't die because of the disease, but they die because they can't be treated in the hospital," Budi asserted.
