Indonesia’s 25 State Universities Named Most Popular by the 4ICU UniRank

KOMPAS.com - A total of 25 Indonesian state universities were named the most popular varsities in the country this year, according to the 4ICU UniRank world university ranking recently.

At the national level, 577 universities in Indonesia are included in the assessment as the Sidney-based agency released the 2021 World University Ranking of the top 200 recognized higher-education institutions.

There are three main criteria for a university to be included in the 4ICU assessment.
First, the varsity is being accreditated by the appropriate higher education-related organization in a respective country such as Indonesia's Ministry of Research Technology, and Higher Education.

Second, the educational institution offers at least four-year undergraduate degrees or postgraduate degrees such as master's or doctoral degrees.

Third, the institution delivers courses predominantly in traditional, face-to-face, non-distance learning.

Thus, educational institutions that only provide vocational education, military-based education, seminar classes, and so on are not involved in the 4ICU assessment.
