Indonesian Govt Awards Ministers, Public Officials for Integrity

“Corruption causes an economic slowdown, brings down competitiveness level and investments, and triggers poverty and income inequality.”

Ma’ruf Amin added that the four parameters of integrity expected from civil servants are regulated under Government Law Number 5 Year 2014 concerning Civil Servants.

The four parameters are honesty, adherence to government laws, cooperation, and devotion to society, nation, and country.

“Every civil servant must be committed to creating a culture of integrity. Without strong integrity, it will be difficult for civil servants to overcome the pressure and reject opportunities that invite violations and cheating.”
