Hariyadi said that should the Indonesian government go through with limiting the number of free Covid-19 vaccines and many companies cannot fund their own Covid-19 vaccination programs, then Indonesia is at risk of not reaching herd immunity level.

Hariyadi argued the importance of ensuring fair and equal Covid-19 vaccination for all Indonesian citizens in the government’s plans.

He added that the country’s community is supportive of vaccination, but he hopes that the government will be able to assist the business community that has been left battered from the pandemic by providing vaccinations.

“In reality, the sectors that have been affected received government stimulus, which was not enough to keep them afloat during the pandemic.”
