Irwan, Deputy Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency in Jakarta, said the four hotels are U Stay Mangga Besar, Ibis Senen, Max One Sabang, and Triniti Hotel.
Eight more hotels in Jakarta have also signed on to become self-isolation centers for the city’s asymptomatic Covid-19 patients.
“Perhaps they have yet to be contacted by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, thus it is only these four for now,” Irwan said.
The Jakarta Governor Decree Number 980 Year 2020 about Controlled Self-Isolation Procedures in Mitigating the Covid-19 Virus stipulates that individuals who have been placed in hotels or rented buildings are forbidden to leave their room, invite guests or share their belongings with another individual.
Covid-19 patients are also prohibited from socializing with other patients, disturbing fellow tenants, inviting guests or tenants into their room, or having their items come in contact with another person.

The decree strictly allows Jakarta’s Covid-19 patients to leave their rooms for light exercise or to sunbathe for a maximum of 15 minutes while observing social distancing protocols.
Patients who have been instructed to stay at one of the self-isolation centers or four hotels in Jakarta are allowed to bring their personal laptops, smartphones, snacks, books, or reading materials, and communicate with others via electronic media or their phones.
