JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Indonesia Stock Exchange, or IDX, announced that its average transaction volume of shares has climbed 10.85 percent in a week, reaching 10.534 billion shares from 9.503 billion shares in the previous week.
The IDX’s corporate secretary Yulianto Aji Sadono said the average daily transaction frequency has also increased 5.70 percent to 616,832 transactions compared to the previous week's 583,566.

“The average daily transaction value was down 0.56 percent to 6.710 trillion rupiahs ($450 million) from last week’s 6.748 trillion rupiahs ($453 million),” said Yulianto in a press statement on Friday, October 2.
The Indonesian Composite Index (ICI) and bourse’s capitalization value throughout the week have decreased. The ICI has decreased by 0.38 percent to 4,926.73 points from 4,945.79, while the bourse’s capitalization value was down to 5,729.8 trillion rupiahs ($385 million) from 5,751.9 trillion rupiahs ($386 million) in the previous week.
On Friday, foreign investors recorded a net sell of 49.11 billion rupiahs ($3.3 million), bringing a total net sell of ($29.3 billion) throughout the year.
