“43.6 percent of the survey respondents feel that the government should put more focus on checking Covid-19, while 35 percent believe that economic recovery should be prioritized.”

“Another 18.3 percent of participants said the government should provide social aid to those hit hardest [by Covid-19].”
Kompas held its online survey July 7-11. The poll had 587 respondents from 23 provinces, with a margin error of 4.04 percent.
The survey came at the heels of another poll by the Indonesian Public Opinion survey body last week, which saw 72.9 percent of respondents calling for a cabinet reshuffle.
President Joko Widodo has threatened to reshuffle his cabinet and disband a number of institutions at the end of June for lacking a sense of urgency in countering the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia.
He also challenged his ministers to come up with a policy breakthrough to end the country’s coronavirus crisis.
