JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The best hotel in the world is in Indonesia, according to Travel + Leisure, which releases its World's Best Awards annually. The top spot this year goes to Capella Ubud Hotel Bali.
Capella Hotels and Resorts Group, which operates Capella Ubud, also won second-best in Travel + Leisure's hotel brand category.
“We are honored to receive this prestigious award,” Capella Hotels and Resorts CEO Nicholas M. Clayton said in a statement on July 9. "This award reflects our desire, care, the attention that our colleagues bring to Capella each day.”

The World’s Best Awards winners are based on the results of Travel + Leisure’s survey with readers, which closed on March 2, 2020.
Hotels were ranked based on several categories including rooms, facilities, location, service, food, and value where Capella Ubud Hotel Bali took the top prize.

Capella Ubud Hotel Bali not only took the coveted award for the Hotel in the World category but also for the Resort Hotel in Asia category.
