JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – An Air Force fighter jet crashed Monday morning in Kampar Regency in Indonesia’s Riau Province.

Air Force Spokesman First Marshal Fajar Adriyanto said that the crash happened about five kilometers from the runway.

“The location is about five kilometers from the runway. It’s near Q Battery, Army Arhanud Battalion,” Fajar told Kompas.com.

“The cause of the accident and the number of victims are still under investigation,” he said.
