To ensure the smooth running of the event, all preparations and supporting facilities have been done by the North Maluku Provincial Government by holding a joint meeting with relevant agencies and the North Halmahera Administration on Saturday, March 20.
"Several agreements related to the event have already been made. According to the head of Kuabang Kao Airport, all the technicalities for the inauguration event are under the purview of the Ministry of Transportation,” said North Maluku Regional Secretary, Samsuddin Abdul Kadir, in a statement, Saturday, March 20.
“However, the airport has asked the Provincial Government and the North Halmahera Administration to provide technical support regarding the arrangement of events.”
Samsuddin emphasized that road access to the airport, guest vehicles, and guests will be handled by the local administration and supported by the provincial government.
Besides, the nearby Sultan Babullah Ternate Airport has also been activated as an alternative in support of President Jokowi's arrival on Wednesday.
