The Ministry’s advice came after health officials put five journalists under observation, when they felt side effects of the vaccine following their vaccination last Friday.
“[The Ministry of Health] found that [the journalists] did not eat breakfast or lunch before they were vaccinated,” noted the Ministry’s spokesperson on Covid-19 Siti Nadia Tarmizi. “

They also did not get enough sleep the night before. Eventually, they were able to return to their homes safely.”
Indonesia launched its Covid-19 vaccination drive under two programs, namely the ‘Government’ program and the ‘Gotong Royong’ [mutual cooperation] program. The former is covered in the state budget, while the latter covers the private sector.
