KOMPAS.com – Google Indonesia released the results for its Year in Search 2020 and the findings are quite colorful for the country of 270 million.

Head of Consumer Apps Marketing at Google Indonesia Fida Heyder said that Indonesia’s Year in Search 2020 results are distinct due to the challenges and changes the world had to face with the pandemic as well as unanswered questions.

These uncertain times have triggered Indonesians to ask unconventional questions on Google Search including how to do adapt to the new normal.

“This not only reflects resilience and willingness to adapt, but the new normal perhaps has given Indonesia a new perspective."

"It might have even encouraged new habits, piqued interests for new skills hence sparked a breakthrough."

Google’s Year in Search 2020 presents the same nine categories of the most popular searches as done in the previous year.

Kompas.com has Google Indonesia’s Year in Search 2020 for you, but it should be noted that the topics are ranked on what trended in Indonesia this year compared to the previous year, not based on the popularity of the searches.
